Carol A. Bowman has extensive trial experience and has handled all types of injury claims. She currently emphasizes her practice in serious injury claims. She has 40 years of experience while practicing in Arizona and California.
Carol was admitted to Bar in California in 1976 and Arizona in 1998. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern and Central California and Arizona, U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
After 23 years in the corporate legal offices in one of the largest public utility companies in the world, Carol Bowman decided to return to Yuma and practice in a private law firm.
Ms. Bowman has extensive experience dealing with corporate boards and committees, interfacing with local governments, and representing clients before state and federal regulatory agencies. She currently works with government/public entity clients such as the Cocopah Tribe.
Carol also presently assists in litigation with her research and writing skills, handling discovery, depositions, and management of all workers’ compensation clients.

- Southern California Edison Company Attorney 1976-1980; Senior Counsel 1980-1992; Assistant General Counsel 1992-1998
- Served as in-house counsel for Southern California Edison Company for over 22 years. Southern California Edison Company is one of the largest investor-owned electric utilities in the country at the time, serving over 11 million customers in Southern California. Practice focused on public utility regulatory law and legal compliance, corporate contracts, new business development, personnel issues, environmental law, legal services budgets, and supervision of outside law firms retained for litigation. Provided advice to officers and Board of Directors. As lead attorney, litigated over 100 cases before state and federal regulatory agencies. Supervised up to 10 other attorneys, responsible for practice areas of public utility regulation, electric transmission and distribution systems, rate change cases, customer complaints, environmental compliance, real property issues, new business development, customer service rules, and affiliate compliance rules.
